P’raps it’s because he defending himself against an entity that has an endless fountain of taxpayer money and time trying to find any way they can to destroy him?
Remember that "Official Election Defense Fund" where Trump would ask for a $5 donation to "stop the steal of the 2020 election"?
He raised $250 million.
The Save America PAC was the entity that collected those donations. We also know from their financial filings the PAC didn't use any of that money on legal fees.
Why doesn't he use that?
Trump claims vary but he says he's worth from 9 to 11 billion. (forbes says 3).
But let's use that $250 million as the bench mark for legal defense funds.
If we go with Trump's evaluation of 11 billion, that is just 2% of his wealth.
2%.
Does that seem reasonable to you? That Trump can't expend 2% of his wealth and he needs you to protect him?
you probably don't remember that "charity event" he did for the veterans. The one where he "forgot" to actually donate the money he raised to veterans until the press called him out on it.
Or the fraud thing with his "university."
Or that he is banned from running a charity in the state of new york because of...more actual fraud.
