He was banned in the wake of Jan. 6.
All he had to do was say something like: “This violent mob doesn’t speak for me. No true patriot attacks the Capitol and its brave police officers. I instructed my supporters to register their objections to the certification process peacefully. To any who are still at the Capitol building: Go home immediately.”
Preferably, as soon as he heard about it.
Instead, he watched the events unfold on the news, issued some tweets encouraging the mob, without a single instruction to back down until hours later, after it must have dawned on Trump that there was no way the mob was going to actually achieve anything.
“Go home in peace,” he finally said. A day late and a dollar short. Good riddance.
There’s no social media platform on earth that has to co-sign this crap if they don’t want to.
