WOw, you really captured the vibrancy of the colors, the overall composition, and dare say I, the spirit,,,

The resemblance is uncanny

I, for one, can't tell the difference. Clearly there must be some sort of digital alteration with the originals to make them appear so alike?

We once had a very overzealous religious woman stay with my family. She started seing images of Jesus and Mary in the wood boards my dad bought for a project and refused to let him use them saying they were holy. And one cutting board of my mom's. We were needless to say quite relieved when she found another home.

Fun fact, you don't paint an icon you write it. :) a little something i learned from an iconographer when I took art classes.

I like to make anime-styled art based on saints in my free-time, but I mostly make commissions of whatever photo my fellow students want me to re-create in my art style :)
