Yup. Not enough panels.
For all the political upheavals the Russian state has undergone over the centuries, one thing has stayed strikingly consistent. It relentlessly seeks to dominate its neighbors through force, and constantly expand its territory, even though it’s the last nation on earth that needs more land.
Eastern Europeans understand this best of all. It’s why Eastern Europe shows higher levels of solidarity with Ukraine than anywhere else in the world. They know how Russian propaganda operates. They were, in many cases, subjected to it for decades under the USSR — within the lifetimes of many still alive today.
And Russian imperialism is still in full effect within Russia’s borders as well with respect to conquered peoples like the Checheans and Tatars, who are like Russia’s version of the Uighurs and Tibetans.
Russian Manifest Destiny, Neo-Colonialism, whatever you want to call it. Get the jackboot once, you can’t be fooled again.
