Relative to the people on the train, youre moving forward. Relative to the people looking at the train, you're moving at the same speed of the train

your first sentence is correct, cuz people on the train see you walking normally. however youre second sentence is incorrect, cuz in actual fact, you will indeed appear to be moving faster than the train in the eyes of those looking at the train from outside ;)

Oh yeah Einstein's theory of relativity says that if you are bouncing a ball on the train, people on the train would see it going up and down but people on the outside would see it going forward too so it must be moving faster to accomodate the extra distance. But if we replace the bouncing ball with a photon and two mirrors, then relative to the observer, its moving forward and a longer didtamce so therefore its moving faster. except its NOT! Its already travelling at the speed of light and nothing can go faster than light. So the only possible explanation is that TIME ITSELF must be going slower (relative to the observer)

Crap that’s makes sense but no sense at the same time

take it like as if youre on a travelator and you are walking forwards while the travelator is also moving forwards. so if you take the speed of the travelator plus the speed at which you are walking ON the travelator, your speed would be greater than the travelator’s. but when you stand still on a travelator, you move ALONG with it, causing your speed to be the same as the travelator. so when you walk forwards, youre adding on to your initial speed which is that of the travelator. all of this applies to what the meme is saying as well.
