The reason inflation fell last month was due to demand destruction primarily in the energy sector. Unfortunately, that's the good news. Inflation is still climbing in food, which will negatively impact lower income families first and hardest. This ride will get worse before it gets better so buckle up.

When I'm in one of the local grocery stores, the price increases I see are just unbelievable. Worse, the last time I was in one of them, there was a man apparently of limited means there. I couldn't help but glance at his shopping cart. It looked like he was buying for other people, but was trying to get out of there for something like $10 or less. He hurried off and was gone.

I later told GF, again, that I simply can't understand how people will continue to live like this. Prices on many food items have doubled, or more, in the last two years.

Meanwhile, I see stuff in the MSM where the insane democrats think they'll become the party of common people again. Lots of luck with that!

It's horrible. We're spending nearly double on food now. Where my family will be just fine, we, along with countless others, will no longer spend in other places which will further contract the economy and put business owners out of their livelihoods. Move your investments because this hasn't even gotten ugly yet.

Only a few more percent on the discount rate, and the US will end up being unable to service its obscene national debt. When we default on that debt, the shit will really hit the fan. With the interconnected global economy such as it is now, there won't be anywhere safe or secure.
