With an unprecedented rise in global economic uncertainties, several countries including Germany, the European Union’s (EU) largest economy have decided to resort to coal based power generation.

China has the greatest number of coal-fired power stations of any country or territory in the world. As of 2022, there were 1,110 operational coal power plants on the Chinese Mainland. This was nearly four times the number of such power stations in India, which ranked second. China accounts for over 50 percent of total global coal electricity generation.

The United States comes in 3rd and the plants here are subject to EPA regulation, elsewhere it's anyone's guess. Also: our coal plants are under attack while China is continuing to build new ones.

How many "Green New Dealers" know this? Probably not a lot, but as long as we shut down our coal plants and commit energy woke-icide they'll be happy.
