It was reported self driving cars were having trouble with kangaroos in Australia. The computer can recognize a person, a bicycle, a dog, etc. but because the kangaroo jumps up and down when it hops, it confuses the computer on the distance. The result was quite a few dead kangaroos.

Oof.. I hope Tesla’s autopilot team works on that…

The report I read was a few years ago. I’m sure they figured it out by now.

It seems the video was posted by someone who is against autopilot, following an article that I saw a couple of days ago about how some group in California claims that Tesla has had misleading advertisements on autopilot.
