Ancient Astronaut Theory, sometimes also Ancient Alien Theory, is the theory and subsequent religion and mythology created by the American TV show "Ancient Aliens". Followers believe that humans were originally created as mining slaves by aliens, and that these aliens helped in all technological and cultural progress humans ever made. They also believe that all deities and gods of all mythologies to ever exist are either misinterpretations of alien visits or fabrications by aliens. The misinterpretation of alien technology by all world religions is thus interpreted as all religions to be a sort of cargo cults.
