He and the guy he drove to DC with left their guns in the car, parked close by. The court ordered the removal of his weapons based on his on-line postings on violence. The 37-new guns were purchased in the weeks after his old guns were taken away. This is a separate crime from the ones he committed on 1-6-21.

Every person who buys a new gun in a legit gun store has to fill out a 4473 and go through BGC? Apparently the Federal Gov't allowed him to purchase those guns.

Actually, they stopped him from taking final possession. But he bought them in violation of the court order that he not do so. The purchases processed through various online payment systems. He even covered one up by calling it "wedding photos." He had them all shipped to a "middle-man," gun shop.
