That’s not the case. People will always find ways to hurt others, and having guns is an effective way for civilians to prevent that.

Yeah, I love guns. I find them fascinating and see them as an invaluable tool for self defense, as was intended in the constitution. The joke simply satirized the left's perception of gun owners that name inanimate objects and give them rights, then exaggerated it.
