An analysis of the DoJ’s January 2022 press release shows.

Criminal charges:

More than 225 defendants have been charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers or employees, including over 75 individuals who have been charged with using a deadly or dangerous weapon or causing serious bodily injury to an officer.

That is only 75 out of 10,000 demonstrators at the Capitol, or 0.75%. Note DoJ included “resisting or impeding” along with “assaulting” to come up with 225.

WOW... that's what libs are calling an insurrection...

—“Only” over a hundred officers were injured.
—“Only” a few of them died of their injuries or committed suicide afterwards.
—And remarkably, no politicians were actually injured. Mike Pence was not, in fact, hung.
—The insurrection wasn’t successful! Joe Biden was inaugurated several days later!

If this is the lens through which you want to look at the interruption of a 230+ year tradition of the peaceful transition of power — and the darkest day for American democracy in modern history — go ahead and knock yourself out.

Indeed. To understand how close to the abyss our nation came on January 6, just ask what would have happened if the mob had actually gotten their hands on the VP and killed him. I'd like to hear how the TrumpTards would have written the rest of that story.
