Right. The idea of a rapture, and of an “eternal afterlife” period, lends itself well to a “LOL nothing matters” attitude about life on earth.

There are certainly good Christians (and other faith adherents) who will prioritize good works on earth, but the ones who are all-in on “faith” as the ticket to an eternity in heaven — they scare me.
