Good to know you aren't an idiot.
I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY INJURY WITH THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS; BEFORE IGNITING BOMBS ALWAYS HIDE BEHIND SOMETHING THICK AND STAY AWAY; IF YOUR BOMB DOES NOT EXPLODE, DO NOT APPROACH IT.
Here's instructions to make a grenade out of a pipe that is useful in an urban warfare enviroment. Either memorize it or copypaste it into a doc to print out.
Materials:
fuse (can be bought at local army/navy store or online)
pipe threaded on both ends, prefererably short with a diameter of above 2 inches, but any will do as long as it's threaded on both ends and throwable
black powder (black powder can be bought online, at an army/navy store, or can be made.)
2 pipe caps that thread onto pipe mentioned above
you need a drill
a drill bit that can drill through metal, and is either larger or the same diameter/radius as the fuse
Materials below
dry rag (it will explode use an old rag).
You may also use sap, glue, mud, or any adhesive.
blasting cap (only if your fuse cannot light black powder; test this beforehand with your fuse and powder. If your fuse can light black powder, you may want this anyway as it improves reliability)
nails, washers, screws, nuts, small pellets (will increase the fragmentation the grenade has)
Any time I mention scrap and you don't have this, simply use powder.
Instructions below
Drill hole in one pipe cap.
Take pipe and put the pipe cap without a hole on one end of the pipe.
Put scrap (the nails, screws, nuts, and washers I mentioned in materials) into the pipe. Fill the pipe 1/8 full of the scrap.
(OPTIONAL STEP): put the blasting cap on the fuse. Add a bit of black powder on top of the scrap.
Put the fuse into the pipe so it is resting upon the scrap (or powder if you did the optional step)
Fill the pipe so it is about 3/4 full then put some more scrap to fill the grenade. Leave 1/8 of the pipe empty.
Put the fuse through the pipe cap with the hole drilled into it and screw the cap on so the fuse is sticking out of the pipe.
If you don't have any adhesive or rag, leave as is. It will work, however, adhesive or a rag will keep the powder from leaking out the hole the fuse is in.
IF YOU HAVE A RAG: unscrew the pipe cap with hole in it, put a small piece of the rag around the area the fuse is sticking out of the powder/scrap. Put cap back on.
FOR ADHESIVE: put adhesive around the hole with the fuse sticking out of it
To light it, simply light the fuse and run behind thick cover.
