i really like this meme. i don't teach on fridays this summer, so i'm going to think all day about: 1) some specific science to change the world for the better, and 2) how to get scientists to be more receptive to new ideas.

I live in Texas and have zero choice in any of this as I work for the school system, and it's Texas. That being said it was just water, but the power washer is gas powered. :/

Lol. I don't really keep up with individual people on this site. I wouldn't know if I've seen comments of someone else before or not.

Very true. My mom had to tell me at 6 yo "Not everyone will want to be friends with you." And it was really hard for me to understand. I always say "Everyone has something." Which is short for "Any two people can find something in common with each other if they look hard enough." Some people just really don't want to take the time to look, and you can't force that.
