I read your link it conveniently leaves off that Russia wants the whole Ukraine and not just the portion that speaks Russian. The whole reason that there are Russians in the Ukraine to start with is they were forcibly settled there by Stalin on Ukrainian land after he deliberately staved 6 million Ukrainians to death in the 1920's

Why should Germany support NATO?, why should Germany stop Russian aggression in their own backyard? Why would anyone take Germany at their word? I have more trust in France than Germany now days.
