Technically guns are involved but they are not responsible. It is the person who is holding the gun that is the real threat

True, but the guns existing still is what creates the possibility of the problem existing. Therefor, dumb people holding the guns are not the problem, it is the fact that dumb people can get guns to be holding.

If we were to number dumb people with law-abiding people then that would be unfair. The Second Amendment gives us the right to bear weapons, in case the government becomes tyrannical.

Never said that wasn't true I'm just saying all the bad things could potentially also be helped by just not having guns.

Right, but you can outmuscle a knife, there's no self defense scenario in which a gun is absolutely necessary unless the attacker also has a gun.

Well if you went to a self defense class I would say definitely. But lots of Americans do not go to it and a gun simplifies things so that the attacker might think twice before considering to rob you.

But also it means a random guy can choose to just shoot at teenagers messing with his car instead of resolving it peacefully and intelligently.

in the Constitution it says that if we cannot defend our house then it is a disgrace. If an armed robber came in to your house and you had a bigger gun then they would put there hands up. If you don't then they would shoot you
