Facts are funny things. When you have them on your side, you usually win. When you don't, like the Tangerine Tyrant did not, you lose 60 out of 61 court cases concerning the "rigged-Stolen," election. As a lawyer, Mr. Cipollone liked facts and the truth.

I thought Mr Ayres was especially effective. You can tell he has genuine regrets.

I felt an affinity for him. As a young man I became close with some folks affiliated with the extreme left and violent people. I was anti-war and it was normal to accept people without question if they held similar views. I can imagine a conservative person, associating with or defending extreme rightists.

The Manson Family and similar left of center violent actors had many of us giving our "friends," a closer examination, as Ayres suggests. I went to high school with a guy who worked at the ranch where the Manson commune was located. He was not a member of the commune, but he hid out after the murders for fear of being killed by a member.
