Yeah that was weird seeing a video of Capitol Police removing the barriers and just letting a disgruntled mob on through into the building. I mean, didn’t cost the life of one woman and the injuring of several other Police Officers? Something doesn’t add up unless the Police Officers who let the mob in were ordered to stand aside, but by who and why?

Not to mention, said fence is some 200+ feet away from the building. (Pictures make it difficult to accurately gauge distance) Further, Walls are easier to maintain when you're guarding a small target. Using a wall for an entire border is an extremely inefficient way to keep people out over distances that reach the thousands.

But w/e, tax payers spent the money on it already, money wasted, border crisis still happening.

Most of that money used was crowdfunding campaign to build part of the wall that doesn’t cover the whole border. It’s not even built on the border for some inane reason, leaving most rural Texas residents stranded on the wrong side of an unfinished border wall

I must've misheard then. It makes it even better, to me, that these idiots chose to pay money for a project that would never finish and would keep needing crowdfunding money to maintain as, as if you allege, it was not approved by congress to be built and by extension maintained.

I think I've heard someone echo the stranded bit. But. I don't know. I haven't looked into that yet.

I’m not alleging anything, but it was partly crowdfunded and partly funded by taxpayer money so Congress may have partial spending of the border at the time Trump had been President. They didn’t account for a third party to try and finish it though. Never mind I am apparently alleging that Congress let the building of the wall be partially built with taxpayer money. I could be wrong though :(

Yes, we also have snipers on every building. I wonder how many targets they can take out who decide to climb over the wall en masse, assuming that the mob loses all sense of self preservation and continues to charge. Because in reality, that wouldn't happen, they'd all duck'n'cover or GTFO.

I was in the capitol back in 2007. We were not allowed to touch the White House fence, allegedly. Secret Service was there in seconds, but they were surprisingly nice and giving us warm smiles. They knew we were young and they told us that we cannot touch the bench it's a security risk.

I think CPD and Secret Service have some common sense on when someone should or shouldn't be shot.
