Freakanomics is a really good doc, it touches on that, crime went down in the 90's after the '73 ruling allowing abortions, so it stands to reason, the opposite will now occur

Yup.

Bit of a sticky wicket... legally speaking; at best, abortion meets the legal threshold of voluntary manslaughter.

Nope. By definition, abortion is murder. See my other memes, it's proven.

Sorry, but your memes are not proof. I suggest you consult Black's Law Dictionary before continuing.

No need. It was factually demonstrated that abortion is murder. Legally sanctioned, but still, 100% by definition, murder.

I suggest you study English before continuing.

Memes are proof of nothing beyond an individual's ability to create them and the subject is the legal definitions of, differences between manslaughter, voluntary manslaughter and murder; Black's Law Dictionary was recommended because the facts don't support your assertions, you're demonstratedly ignorant of the legal distinctions between manslaughter, voluntary manslaughter and murder and the goal was to prevent you making an ass of yourself. But you declared, evidenced openly that your choices are willful ignorance rather than acquisition of knowledge and attempted marginalization. As you've unfortunately proven that you're only interested in making unbacked assertions rather than actually discussing the issue, this exchange is at an end.

You're deliberately being obtuse. I have a meme that is a direct dictionary definition of murder that shows without dispute that abortion is in fact murder. Cherry picking a dictionary for a legal definition is not relevant. The FACT is that abortion is murder. If it's not "legally" recognized as murder means nothing. That's just ignoring reality as you yourself are doing there.

The legal definition only has bearing on what the law recognizes. Not common sense or human civilization.

You stand corrected. End of discussion.

Well, now you're interesting again; accusations of cherry picking? Really? That's funnily hypocritical considering there are multiple definitions of the word murder and you're apparently grasping for the one that supports your assertions. Case and point:

Source: Merriam-Webster
murder noun
mur·der | \ ˈmər-dər \
Definition of murder (Entry 1 of 2)
1: the crime of UNLAWFULLY killing a person especially with malice aforethought

murder verb
murdered; murdering\ ˈmər-d(ə-)riŋ \
Definition of murder (Entry 2 of 2)
transitive verb

1: to kill (a human being) UNLAWFULLY and with premeditated malice

In any event, your accusations of cherry-p[icking are irrelevant because the subject is -and has been since the start of this exchange- the legal definition and differentiation between murder and voluntary manslaughter, although you do now stand exposed as a hypocrite.

As for your accusations of deliberate obtusion, I'm not the one who refused to gather more information when its availability was made known. You further stand exposed as engaging in projection.

Shall we go for another round?

They are equally valid. So factually, abortion is defined as murder.

You lose.

Thank you for shooting your "abortion is murder" claim in the foot, btw; that bit concerning lawfulness and your confirmation that both definitions bear equal validity reduces your argument to an it's-both-and-neither situation --under such parametric duality, you lose as well. But -and here's the best part- you also proved yourself a hypocrite, engaged in projectionism and deliberate obtusion while attempting to take the moral/intellectual high ground; while I don't necessarily consider those things a win for me, they definitely stand as second, third and fourth losses for you.

Of course, none of this is really relevant to the discussion of whether abortion does or does not meet the legal threshold of voluntary manslaughter. I must say, your apparent determination to avoid engaging in such discussion after sotto voce condemnation of deliberate obtusion is both quite amusing as well as losses five (for deflection) and six (for indication of narcissistic behavior disorder) for you. In other words, you made yourself the biggest loser.

You keep using that word "lose". I do not think it means what you imagine it means. In this argument, you clearly lose. Get over it. You'll mature in the process.
1 up, 3y
Yes, per the parametric duality of murder's definiton you personally specified, I lost --just as you lost And, as I said, you're the biggest loser because you complained about cherry-picking whilst cherry-picking, accused me of deliberate obtusion whilst refusing to avail yourself of additional information, pointed to your own memes as though products of your imagination are proof of anything beyond your ability to throw them together (loss #7 --let that one slide last time but since you've evidenced intent to try absolving yourself of fault it's back on the table), displayed classic markers of narcissism, attempted and failed at gas-lighting (three times as of your latest comment) displayed self-delusory tendencies as of your latest comment (loss #8) strategically avoided posting your cherry-picked definition of murder and its source, steered the conversation away from discussing the legal aspects of murder vs. voluntary manslaughter (definite sign of being forensically weak, that one) and the pinnacle of your folly is attempting to play the maturity card. That's a dead give-away that its employer is insecure about their own maturity level. Good job. :D

Oh, by the way; post your hypocritically cherry-picked definition and its source. Not being deliberately obtuse, I'm quite interested in seeing it.

Sorry, but attempting to marginalize the issue with claims of "leftist math" is a cheap fallback for lazy/denialist minds -no offense. There's no math or speculation to it; it's all comparative analysis of known quantities. If you're willing to put in the effort, take some time to explore the Bureau of Labor and Statistics website; there's a wealth of hard data just waiting for anyone who's curious to come along.

You're right, it wouldn't have anything to do with people moving from state to state. Hey, look at that, you finally got one right. Good for you.
