Random people off the street generally aren't the smartest and are obviously going to be at a disadvantage when debating someone who has prepared and gets paid for a living to debate people. (not to mention could easily edit out lost debates)

If you watch the debates, they often are capable. Crowder controls every aspect of the debate and he wraps it up when they get too smart for him.
