I wasn't disagreeing with you, but I should have been clearer. The pilots being let go are a major part of the story, but many other workers joined them and very few have been offered their jobs back and very few people are even trying to fill all the empty positions.
I think this is just the start of a much bigger problem. More and more shortages of workers will be felt and less and less people will apply to work for the clowns that started this mess.
I was a vaccine refusal in a completely unrelated field, worked through it all, made really good money on overtime when others refused to work. I caught covid and was sick for a day of so, quarantined and returned to work. A year later my company decided jab or no job, so I was let go. According to them I voluntarily resigned.
I still have money in the bank and haven't even considered returning. I think there are millions more just like me, they left and found different jobs in different fields and those old jobs will never find replacements, especially since the same companies still have mandates.
