*Looks at US Constitution*. . .lol nope, no mention of the word 'democracy' however there is a mention of the word Republic at the beginning. The Founders weren't stupid about it. They knew democracy of any kind is a bad idea. That's why they kept directly voting out of the federal level as much as possible.
