What I don't get is how we can to people life on the other side of the planet, instantly transfer money in and out of banks for things like buying stuff online, get instant information with a few keystrokes. . .but we still don't have a system to check a person's criminal record(if he or she has one) within ten minutes, maybe thirty minutes top!
