Well, a lot on here has recently not been going the way I'd've liked it to. But apparently that's what this stream has become now - including the modding. I have tried multiple times to get us all on the same page but it seems like it's just me. So I basically only log in every once in a while now and try to at least stop the worst of it.

You're right. And if I were the only owner I would do that. But I'm not. And it seems like I am in the minority in this and most people - staff included - want this stream to be an lgbtq+ friendly version of msmg. Honestly, I don't care anymore at this point. I'm tired of repeating myself over and over again with no results whatsoever. I basically have two options now and I haven't decided yet: create a separate stream for people like me who are tired of all this or just leave imgflip...

It seems jade has gone a bit power hungry

because msmg, while it has non-discriminative memes, repeatedly attacks the lgbt community. it calls us fatherless and mentally ill, when that isnt necessarily true (or at all necessary). we dont choose to be lgbt, those who are trans didnt just wake up and decide to be a different gender. its in our brains, its part of the chemicals our brains produce. trans women have brains that work the same way as cis women. it isnt a decision to be gay. no one in their right mind would choose to deal with potentially traumatizing/deadly situations. msmg seems to think that, and that is their choice. they have chosen to be homophobic.

Well being gay or trans didn't used to be a thing for thousands and thousands of years meaning somebody had to have chosen to be gay
I think that everybody is born straight but that changes over time

it is possible for your gender/sexuality to change over time
homosexuality and being trans has been a thing for a long time. it's not new. ancient china regarded bisexuality as the norm, and the greeks had an explanation for why trans people existed. apollo was seen as bi (i believe). there's a greek tale about those who are intersex, as well. in sparta, guys courting guys (mainly in their army) was a good thing, and not doing so was looked down upon.
just because something isnt widely seen doesnt mean it isnt real. being gay has been illegal for a long time, which means there had to have been some homosexual being for that to exist.
