By all means, explain what he meant.

He is a rich, old, white man telling the rest of us that we can't have what he will always have- security. And btw- he's an actor, so he was putting on an act.

I wonder if we can find any commentary from this intellectual giant concerning how the Biden Admin's horrible policies are crushing the Middle Class and the poorest among us.

The liberal solution to gun crime, crime that liberal policies have caused to skyrocket, will solve nothing except to make the average citizen defenseless. They have attacked police to the point where they refuse to act quickly, as seen in a number of school shootings now, so we will find no protection there. And it's not as if police can be everywhere at once.

If you weren't so ignorant, you might understand why what he said is absurd.

Common sense gun laws. It's english, easy to understand, you know, making it so an 18 year old cant buy an assault rifle one day and shoot up a school the next day. Or if a dude has a history of viollence against his wife, going to buy a gun then shooting her. Turning a school into a prison doesn't sound very "free"

"Common sense gun laws"

Your "mind full of mush" would make any liberal educator proud!

There are well over 20,000 gun laws on the books, none of which stopped the most recent school shooting, and none of which have stopped any of the criminals who misuse firearms. They are called criminals for a reason- they break "common sense laws".

The Uvalde shooter was known to have issues, serious issues, and yet local law enforcement did nothing of value. He was also likely on the FBI's radar- they sure helped out a lot.

Less than 2% of all guns used in crime were legally purchased, meaning the vast majority of your alleged "common sense gun laws" did precisely zero in stopping anything.

So long as you support liberal causes, such as open borders, there will never be an end to this, even if you could somehow manage to collect the 400,000,000+ guns in circulation in the US. All sorts of evils flow over our southern border thanks to the Democrat Party, and the gutless wonders in the Republican Party.

But fear not! You are far more likely to die from an opioid overdose through illegal drug use, or from a car crash, than you are a school shooting. Schools do not need to be prisons, either. Taking basic steps to harden them would stop most of this. And yes, that would include willing teachers taking training, and caring guns themselves.

Guns are not evil, so in the right hands, in this instance, trained teachers with the will to protect themselves and their students, would be zero danger to anyone other than a shooter.

But here's the bottom line, Skippy- you can't have our guns. The 2nd Amendment was not written to make you feel good; it was written to allow the citizens of the United States to be prepared to defend against what history teaches is inevitable- our own government turned on us. And we do not have to imagine that as a possibility, as Democrats have been doing so for decades now- obviously much longer than you have been alive.

Donald trump has been an actor. So that means we can ignore everything he says as just being an act.

"They have attacked police to the point where they refuse to act quickly, as seen in a number of school shootings now"

So when cops are cowards and don't do their job, it's someone else's fault?

"Donald trump [sic] has been an actor. So that means we can ignore everything he says as just being an act."

I don't care if you listen to Trump or not, but how about you pay attention to the success of his policies? After all, that is really all we need our politicians to do- craft policies that make things better. www.magapill.com

"So when cops are cowards and don't do their job, it's someone else's fault?"

Yes. In this instance, it is the Democrat Party's fault, and is obvious to anyone that is paying attention.
