Agreed. I had my first job at 13 working my ass off at my dad's grocery store all day Saturday. When I got home all I wanted to do was stretch out and watch that stuff. I knew it was crap, but we only had three channels to choose from (four if you counted PBS).

Have you seen the Fantasy Island movie? I thought that it would be crap and I'm sick of the reboots, but I guess when you set your expectations that low then it turns out to be a decent movie. It actually stuck to the format of the show but they could actually go deeper into the plot and had better special effects too.

So true Abby. Also with Love Boat in particular, you could often get to see the sexiest ladies on TV guest-starring in bikinis during the obligatory "poolside scenes." Which was quite exciting for adolescent boys of the 70s- As you said, we did'nt have alot to choose from in those days, uhg😆lol
