If government actually did it's damn job and keep the 'red flag files' updated and accurate so gun shop owners will know who NOT to sell to when they do background checks with their computers that are linked to criminal databases.

Probably an adults credit card. He bought the weapon online, and had it shipped to the gun store...so, there is that problem, too.
