It might have a lot to do with your location. We live in a suburb of Denver and my son got hired at $19.50 as a school bus driver with zero experience and they pay to train him to get his CDL.

Got ya! I didn't realize that the $20 an hour was 10 years ago. Your story is highly motivating and goes to show that you don't need to go into debt with student loans to get a degree that may or may not help you get a decent job.
