part of maintaining a healthy society is having a differing of opinions, if you can't respect everyones opinion then your just an idiot

your claiming that your treating them with love and respect after you validate someone saying
"i can't treat the right with respect"
>> Where's the validation? I simply said "I get you." Meaning, I understand. Does that equate to validation to you?

And the whole "it isn't a minority" is just a lie,
>> Yet Trump fomented the idea of "The Radical Left" another thing that the vocal Right wing echoes.
you can continue to base your mini essays on non-factual things all you want but it isn't worth my time
>> The essay was a quote from a right wing Pastor who spoke at the January 6th rally.
Of which, thousands attended, and no one is stopping - not one person in any of these groups. No one is saying "this is wrong." And of the Right wing who is based as you claim to be? Aren't vocal enough. Your silence is deafening. If the House of Representatives is any indication of the ideology of the right wing? You guys simply follow lock-step with this hyper-partisan non-sense.

Except, 16/24 red states are advocating bills and censorships laws that reflect the "Don't say gay bill."

I hardly call that a minority.

"first off, your taking an extremely tiny percentage of far right ideals to make this claim, and not all "transphobic" or "anti-LGBTQ" are right wingers- thats just a lie. Im tired of you taking such a tiny percentage of something and using it to classify the whole thing, your not worth my time"

the dont say gay bill is a bill that prevents teachers from indoctrinating kids with this stuff- read the bill first. also, nice job on the biased moderating

By the way. I did read the bill. The bill states that teachers are prohibited in grades K-3rd grade to take about sexual orientation or gender identity.
Which, obviously, is aimed at the LGBTQ community. Who's going to report a teacher for talking about kings and queens getting married? Who's going to report a teacher talking about how a kid has a mom and a dad?
But if you want to talk about how there are other people in the world who don't fit that, then it's illegal. Then, people make a stink.
Going further, the language is ambiguous as you *can* talk about it at other grades, but it gives ambiguous language saying something to the effect of "You can do it at other grades but it has to be age and developmentally appropriate." Which, is a trap as all someone has to do is do it at any age and then someone could file lawsuit and the court can determine after the fact that the content wasn't age/developmentally appropriate.
As for biased moderating? I flagged one comment as it was minimizing what was happening to the LGBTQ community. Since I am engaged in this conversation, I had someone else look into it instead of doing it myself.

Grow up.

i expect you to respect opinions, as that's what your asking people to do
1 up, 3y
While you certainly have the right to have an opinion, no one has to respect. Especially when that opinion is based on racism, lies, misinformation, and bigotry.

We do not have to put up with that garbage.

You can have an opinion, but no one has to give a f**k about it.

This is why we need more funding in public education. So people like you don't get this shit confused.

We *can* respect your right to the freedom of speech. We don't have to respect your opinion - that being the content of it. Your opinion is absolute trash and is the stuff of hypocritic evil that I hope my children never have to deal with.

Yes, I'm asking people to respect opinions, that includes asking them questions until they've clearly defined their position and what it means. I've found that when I ask the right wing to define terms that they're talking about, they often use this tactic of making an ambiguous claim, letting me try to figure what they're talking about, then try to beat me down at this trap they've laid. Except, when I show that I want to listen to what they have to say, it puts them in their own trap and they have a melt-down.
Love, and respect. They can't stand it because it means you listen to them and question their knowledge and how they reached their conclusions because you really care what they think. Then, they have to say it outloud. The work does itself.

you saying its "intolerance" is your opinion, and regardless, you still need to treat people who don't think the same way as you just as well as someone who thinks like you

So, you expect me to support people who are openly racist? People who reject the very notion of considering their position on implicit racial bias? People who advocate the Nuclear family as the doctrine of our country? People who want to refuse LGBTQ the opportunity to express themselves in school? People who want to prevent women from leaving their state if they're pregnant? People who want to tell a woman she has less bodily autonomy than a corpse? People who are complacent with mass shootings and put nothing on the table that addresses the issue? People who think that poor people should have less opportunity to "make it" in this country? The same people who think that you have to "Pull yourself up from your boot-straps" when you're homeless and they say this from their million dollar estate that they bought with inherited money? People who had access to all the resources available, private tutoring, full ride in college by parents - lodging, food, car paid... Yet, they expect teenagers who have to drop out of school to help the family "pull themselves up?" People who are against providing formula for infants?

It goes on and on... Most sensible policies.

Oh, and working on a campaign to Destroy a company iconic to this country's culture and a part of children growing up for nearly 100 years. Just because of LGBTQ politics and them voicing their distaste for said legislation in the most mild of terms.

I mean, LGBTQ ... they've got it the most rough from the right wing...

LMAO yeah. No. Just stop. This is pure fear-hate mongering from the right wing evangelical zealots we've been warning you about and you (as the collective right) said "Meh, won't happen." (2012) "Meh, not that bad." (2016) "No we aren't." (2022)

"If you vote democrat, I don't even want you around in this church! You can get out! You can get out you Demon! You can get out you baby butcherin' ... Election thief! You cannot be a Christian and vote Democrat in this Nation! I don't care how mad that makes you! You can get pissed off as you want to! You cannot be a Christian and vote Democrat in this Nation!

They are God-Denying Demons that butcher babies, and hate this nation! They hate this nation! Get mad all you want to. I don't care if you stand, you can throw tomatoes if you want to. I'm about to throw a microphone up in his house.

CNN can eat my dirty socks you cannot be a Democrat and a Christian! You! Cannot! Somebody say Amen! <audience cheers> The rest'a ya, get out!!! GET OUT!!! GET OUT IN THE NAME OF JESUS! I ain't playin your stupid games!

... Bunch of devils... I'm sick of iit. They want to talk about the insurrection. Let me tell you something: You ain't seen the insurrection yet. <Evangelist points at Camera, audience cheers>. You keep pushing our buttons you low down sorry compromisers. You god-hatin' communist, you'll find out what an insurrection is, because we ain't playin your garbage. We ain't playin your mess.

MY BIBLE SAYS THAT THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD IS AN INSTITUTION THAT THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST IT! AND THE BIBLE SAYS THEY WILL TAKE IT BY FORCE! THATS WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS! <repeats> It's gonna get worse!"

Thoughts? I mean, how much of a minority of RW can it be if locally, he has a community of 39,000 people?

Others have echoed his sentiments in some capacity.

So, you can just get off your short pony you call a high-horse.

Right now.

what your doing here is taking a small percentage of people on the right and using that as an excuse to treat them poorly. I don't care if you disagree with what they say, or even if you find it offensive. They have the right to their own opinion, and you should judge them based on actions, not opinions.

It really isn't a minority. Much of the right wing identifies Democrats as baby killers because of their position on abortion. And who says I am treating them poorly? I am advocating love and respect. It's not my fault if they have some mental instability that makes them averse to it. Maybe there might be something wrong if they can't learn to get along with others when they are treated with love and respect.

So, what I'm seeing here, is you're taking an apologists stance, and declaring my intentions to be malignant, which they aren't. You've become the examples of what I'm talking about, and being a hypocrite of your own rhetoric of "Not all." You're mischaracterizing your perceptions of my actions because of your experience with Democrat and where you fall within my PSA.
