I really needed that laugh, thank you. Democratic president Lyndon Baines Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 after Kennedy laid the groundwork for it. Barry Goldwater, Republican presidential nominee in 1964 famously opposed the legislation and welcomed segregationist Strom Thurmond to the GOP. The Democrats became the party of civil rights after that, and racist Dixiecrats joined the GOP which became the party of state’s rights, which opposed integrated busing (both Nixon and Reagan opposed this, along with affirmative action and denied racial discrimination existed in America).
Nice racist Asian stereotype, too. 🙄
