Well, it seems like it has something to do with the fact that they want to be seen as cutesy and wholesome. This would contradict that, thereby aggravating their confirmation bias and causing them mild distress.
That said, this isn't *always* a good idea to use, as some of the kinkier furries, especially ones that use skunk fursonas, will have a musk fetish, which will, obviously, cause that specific insult to blow up in your face spectacularly.
