The libertarian case for abortion rights.

I'd like to upvote this because I'm sympathetic to the conclusion, but that libertarian insight is wrong. Homo Economicus is dead.

Homo Economicus isn't always right, but if that logic ever had validity, it's in the decision whether to become a parent.

I can't agree. Far too many people choose to become parents when they shouldn't.

It sounds like you're saying government should intervene in people's abilities to make poor decisions. That's totalitarian if it's what you're aiming at. What is freedom but the ability to make all grades of decisions when the outcomes affect your person and not another's?

The decision to become a parent does affect another person.
