The current interpretation is the well regulated part is not important. However, now that conservatives claim there isn't any settled law it can be reinterpreted to mean only members of the armed forces.
That is just one possible reinterpretation. The idea of rolling back freedoms not expressly stated in the constitution can also be used by anyone now. But whatever. It will suck for awhile, but these jackasses are losing the long game. They are just too stupid to understand they are today's dinosaurs.
