I'm old enough to remember a popular cartoon cougar named snagglepuss. Besides the pink fur, his voice, mannerisms & hobbies all hinted at the same thing. He was given a girlfriend, but I doubt that fooled anyone. Now I'm just amazed that they got away with it on children's TV back then.
