Libertarians when concrete rights be on the chopping block:

Libertarians are as divided as the general public on this matter, but most of my fellow libertarians are united in enjoying the meltdowns over this. Contrary to Democrats fearmongering this doesn't automatically mean abortion will be banned federally, it just means it goes back to the states.

Missouri pro-life laws | image tagged in missouri pro-life laws | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
It goes back to the states… 50 of them, each of which will have their own ever-more-creative ways of attempting to ban abortion even beyond their borders, or alternatively, undermine abortion regulations in the states that have chosen to ban it.

It’s gonna be chaos. If that’s your thing, grab popcorn. Easier to enjoy the show if you don’t have a uterus, I reckon.

Some prominent leftist states such as California and Colorado are marketing themselves as abortion sanctuary states and actively encouraging women from states with restrictive laws to come and kill their babies there. Most states will probably probably have abortion be legal, but with some restrictions while some states will have it legal through all 9 months of pregnancy and in some others it will be illegal. It may also hasten politically motivated migrations which I sincerely hope causes some of the larger states to break up into smaller states. I live in North San Diego County and can tell you that we have practically nothing in common with the insane asylums that are San Francisco and LA.

Politically-motivated migrations have been happening for awhile. Namely, young and discriminated-against people from rural places moving to the bigger cities for education and opportunity. I expect the elimination of Roe (and the overturning of other rights "back to the states") will increase the concentration of talent and wealth in blue areas and further perpetuate the hollowing-out of rural America into a retiree and pill/meth-head wasteland.

It won't be pretty, but at least y'all prevented 13-year-olds from aborting their uncle's rape-child.

Indeed they have, but if you think this will make blue states wealthier and more prosperous than you truly are divorced from reality. Democrats are turning these states into third world shitholes with their socialist bullshit. California was once the greatest state in this country, and now it is a laughing stock that people are running away from not just for the political reasons of not wanting to deal with leftist insanity, but also because they can't afford to live here. As a result you sometimes get people that are dumb enough to vote for what they escaped from in states like Colorado.

Trump-leaning counties actually got relatively poorer under 4 years of Trump. You heard it here first! | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
The economic contrast is even starker when you look at counties. As a share of national wealth, Trump-voting counties actually went *backwards* in 4 years under Trump. Let that sink in.

Yes, people are being priced out of expensive East and West Coast cities and deciding to move, but that’s because of all the wealth that’s already there. And overly restrictive zoning, and a construction industry that never fully recovered after the ‘08 crash. Too many dollars chasing too few homes.

When people leave CA and NY and move to a cheaper state like TX or GA, they bring their values too, whatever they happen to be.
