True... but you miss the point which is in the title.
People go to Disney or subscribe to Disney+ for entertainment values, not for some sort of personal crusade. So it is not the same as these "environmentalists" (using that loosely as they are simply people who claims to care about the environment) to buy Tesla. They bought it for the "benefit" of the environment, right?
So by refusing now to buy Tesla over political view, they are in fact "screwing the environment." Right? There is a "moral" implication here, they are choosing their own political outrage over what their own moral view.
This meme is not pointing out how they change their purchase habits base on political views. If it were, you would be correct.
This meme is pointing out their hypocrisy over their environmental concerns. If they are so easily and quickly dropping Tesla because of a political view, then they don't really care all that much about the environment, do they?
Which is my point. They did not buy Tesla for the environment or to help the environment. They were buying Tesla before solely for the purpose of being "viewed" as they care for the environment. For their own personal outlook, pride, and boasting of self-righteousness. This is the definition of sanctimony.
