To be clear, the person behind this Parler account is calling for killing people exactly like me and my wife, which would make an orphan of my infant daughter. Those are the stakes for me, personally.

Is he “just trolling”? Maybe, maybe not. The nature of online communication makes it impossible to tell.

But flip it around, and I would absolutely say that calling for killing conservatives on a massive scale equals hate speech which ought to be modded. If you see this happening anywhere on Imgflip, flag it. Help the mods do their jobs and don’t let the Nazis win.

Look, those words are rude, but I’m talking specific threats of violence. It’s wrong when anyone does it, but there is a lot more of it on the Right. There are accounts whacked here on a daily basis which threaten purges of liberals. Maybe you don’t see them, maybe you do and you don’t care.

Trump supporters stormed the Capitol after Trump’s loss. People died, over 100 cops were injured — the mob went on manhunts for lawmakers — it’s remarkable that more casualties weren’t sustained. Unless you have specific evidence of anything like that occurring after the ‘16 election, you don’t get to deflect. What I remember is that some liberals got mad and screamed at the sky and I’m sure some punched their pillows.
