There are certainly aspects of conservatism that ring true to me. Unfortunately I find that in practice the latter half of the meme, the toxic tendencies, have come to dominate in the era of Trump. But even as someone who considers myself a liberal, I don’t want the Republican Party to be weak. I want it to be strong, so that America can be strong regardless of who wins the election. I live in a red state, and generally, the other party will be in charge nationally about half the time. So everyone should want this honestly.
