Then there's two questions about race and ethnicity - you're either Hispanic or you're not (an ethnicity according to the U.S. Census Bureau) and THEN you can select your race. Then some forms even have all of the combinations of LGBTQ that exist.
I often wonder if, on a job application for instance, I'd have better luck identifying as an African-American female lesbian than a straight white male?
