Because it's so easy and cheaper to close down a park that makes multi-millions for 1-2 years, pack up their miles upon miles of estate, find somewhere that's got great weather 90% of the time, find miles upon miles that a state would actually wanna give them, and spend billions building all of it back up from scratch than it would be to stay in Florida and pay taxes.

They can't move the park(s), but they could move thier business headquarters. They are in Florida, rather than California where the original park is, due to the anti business climate in California.

They are HQ-ed in Burbank, Cali already, not Florida, and there was a whole news story prior to this on them planning to move it to Florida, which they promptly cancelled after the bill controversy
