But doesn't Disneyland get a bunch of tax breaks for construction? As well as isn't construction exempt from certain county taxes and fees, Including impact fees?

I have no idea about Orange County California. Disneyland is in California. Disneyworld is in ORANGE COUNTY FLORIDA.

Tax breaks for development? From who? Its their land. Its their infrastructure (water, waste water, drainage, roads, electric, fire protection). They actually pay a higher tax to REEDY CREEK.

See ya real soon!

I apologize I was referring to Disneyworld in Florida. Check for exemptions in the county's taxes and fees, including impact fees for construction.

Thank you too for visiting.

The only execptions they were getting was in the form of DEVELOPMENT. Their government entity allowed for CAPITAL COST DEVELOPEMENT to be funded by MUNICIPAL BONDS, which is Tax exempt.

This BONDS THAT are already in olace, now have to be paid. Not by Disney, but by the TAXING AUTHORITY. THAT authority is ORANGE AND OSCEOLA county. That bill is around $1B....

"Orange and Osceola counties to assume the nearly $1 billion bond debt the Reedy Creek Improvement District carries"

So, let me know if there is anything i have missed.

Make America Florida! I cant wait until Ronny holds the biggest office, and reaches into your state!

I'm sure Florida will come up with something to make sure Disneyworld is responsible for the debt it's incurred without passing that cost onto the residents. But I'm almost sure it's going to raise the amount of taxes Disneyworld pays.

Although Disney could have an epiphany before it goes into effect next year. I mean they could realize indoctrination of other people's children against the will of the parents is really not their job.

Although you really didn't address the impact fees, which can be hefty.

I wonder if they are going to continue to offboard jobs from California to Florida?

One of the worst business choices they could have made. At least Florida is trying to protect children up to the third grade. Here in California indoctrination is the name of the game. Whether it be in schools or the political arena...become subservient or face retaliation
Welcome to California.

If you don't laugh and figure out a way to unspin it, your only other option is to cry. And that just doesn't suit me.

That does seem to be what a lot of people, Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, are going to do. How did you know?

I enjoyed the park at PANDEMIC 25% capacity! I would pay 2times what i do to keep attendance low! I have no PROBLEMS with a drop in tourism. My job isnt dependant on service industry traffic, or population.

Believe me, I miss dirt roads through orange trees to a hidden pond no one knows is there but the farmers. I miss four wheeling along the train tracks as a short cut to the next town (replaced by bicycle trails with cameras). The flood of developement is going to come, regardless of Disney is here or not. DISNEY isnt moving, I am not worried about stock price. Now is the time to ride the STONKS. Consider this a MODERN DAY MEAN TWEET. Ride it back up, now is YoUR TIME IN A BIDEN ECONOMY!

Now we'll just have to wait and see how many parents follow through. Considering they made a pretty big statement not wanting sex or gender discussion before the third grade.

Personally I don't think teachers in school or entertainment companies have any place trying to raise other people's children. And I was just horrified when I heard one teacher complaining that he couldn't talk about his same sex relationship with his young class. When did schools become personal sharing zones?

Over development also seems to be the downfall of where I live too. But the City just keeps wanting to stuff more and more people into the City
Resulting in degrading of the residents quality of life
As well as not taking care of the beautiful natural resources in the area.

I agree with we will see.

I see the Municipal-County agreements popping up all over the place. People are frogs in warm pot. Before they know it, their property is within municipal bounds, and they have TWO TAX bills, with no representation, or additional services..

The City I live in has similar problems, representation of the City Council's special interests is more important than the best interest of the community. And here's an example of services provided by the City, the City provides our water service, and the last time they raised rates, they raised them 100% in 5 years.

Also now property owners have the option of splitting their lot for ADUs which will result in a tax bill for each piece of property as well as separate utility bills.

Ah yes, the ADU money grab! New meter, new WASTE WATER account! Roads are starting to flood for displacement, and no funds being diverted for REAL WASTE WATER (drainage).

We added a (what used to be called a) "Master suite" lol back in 2005, making our home a 3 bath. I should have told them it was a home gym with shower. Because i told them it was a BEDROOM, they looked at it as a possible new occupancy, with an added waste water demand. Had it of been "jist a gym", the same occupants would be using the bathroom, at no additional demand. Words to think about when adding on!

Ah yes having to hire a lawyer (an additional expense) so you know what to do to avoid additional continuous payment as a result of your choice of what to do with your property. The games you have to play...
