I think it shows how strongly people are motivated by emotions. The left recognizes this and that's probably why their positions so heavily rely on high levels of emotionalism to get support, even as those positions become more and more absurd. Oppose rioting in the streets by BLM? That's your white supremacy perspective! Oppose the restrictions of basic rights from COVID rules? You're killing granny! Oppose the sexual mutilation of children? You're a transphobe! Etc.
