I assume you're referring to Texas's restriction - and you are correct. Do you want to ban abortion because it is wrong. It's as simple as that.
Don't get me started on healthcare. Yes healthcare does cost quite a lot. It would probably be wise to get some good insurance. But a lot of this is artificially inflated prices by, you guessed it, the government! But for all the flaws the US system does have, it's loads better than full socialized medicine. Take Canada for example - you have to wait weeks to get an "emergency surgery". In the US, you can get one within a few hours. Our very PRESENCE improves the quality of other systems, as about 30% of medical studies and such are done in the US. Let's just say you don't see people flocking to Toronto for treatment - you see them flocking to Houston.
Also, the "free health care" quip given to Americans by many Europeans is very misleading. Nothing is free. Americans pay more directly for their health care, through insurance payments or even out of pocket costs, while Europeans pay for their supposedly free health care through their much, much higher taxes.
