This is a HUGE issue Cracker. Kudos to you for posting about it. And the press is barely covering it, if at all. This deal is nothing but bad news for the entire civilized world.

When Biden says we're doing everything we can for Ukraine, he somehow forgets (well, in his case there's no "somehow" about it!) that there are a lot more sanctions he could impose, aid (humanitarian and military) and this tiny little deal that he's letting the Russians broker for us.

It's surprisingly hard to find ANYONE talking about it.... There isn't any reason for Russia to negotiate in good faith. It's in their best interest to negotiate a deal that injures us.

Yep. And from what I've heard about it, the Iranians are stunned/pleased that they're getting nearly everything they asked for.

Not so surprisingly, there isn't much in the way of Russia looking out for our best interests with this new deal, which by all accounts is actually worse than the one Trump pulled us out of.

I've read that the Biden administration is trying to find a legal loophole to make the agreement permanent - because the Iranians don't want it to end like Obama's Iran nuclear deal.

Strictly speaking, treaties, which this is, must be approved by the Senate, right?

Also, I believe after the Obama Iran deal, congress passed a law specifically targeting deals with Iran, saying they need to at least be presented to congress before being signed... because Obama didn't do that with his horrible deal.

I just can't wrap my head around why the democrat party wants Iran to have nukes. I think I know why, but if so, they're a worse shitshow over there than even I thought they were.

That is my understanding, but like I said - they're trying to find a way around that.

Iran gets nukes and within a year Israel gets nuked. It's practically guaranteed.
