If one wishes to bump up against the limits of ones educational limitations, look up on the internet and take any high school graduation exam (which, at the time, one could not exit high school without taking) from... oh... say, 1890 or thereabouts.

The simple reality is college is merely an extension of day care, and imparts far less practical knowledge or intelligence.

Oh, the stories that I could tell. I work in a government office where I swear the only other person beside me with a bachelor's degree is the admin assistant (aka receptionist). Everyone else has a master's whether they need it or not.

One has absolutely no common sense in how to operate in the real world, can't make his own hotel or airline reservation properly.

Another, in his 60s, can't stop telling wonderful ribald stories of his adventures whilst in "grad school" and he literally affected a Thurston Howell accent when he said that.

Finally, there was the guy that didn't know what the common saying "the best laid plans of mice and men" referred to.
