Catholics? I don’t mind them, but a neighbor tried to convert me once and that was a rather unpleasant experience. Still, that’s a problem I have with her and not the faith as a whole.

It's mostly the tone of scorn I and others are viewed with based solely on religion. I couldn't necessarily name a user, but if you were willing to take my word for it, I can tell you the ones who harass people for religious beliefs certainly exist.

When you start off with a line like "You're convinced that...", etc etc, you're telling every person reading it that you know what they're convinced of, when you really don't know. That's bound to produce some resentment, as nobody likes being lectured by a know-it-all.
