Drugs are far more lethal and unsafe when they are traded illegally on the streets. It’s why overdoses continue to happen. The War on Drugs has not made us safer from the effects of drug use.

I want people to receive the treatment they need, but it’s being resisted by the right. Literally the right protests programs that would help addicts and the homeless because it’s their taxpayer money, even though these programs cost less than having to put these people through jail on a regular basis. Conservatives don’t think and they reject all progress.
