Wasn't it sometime around December 2020 when the Oak Park police department said - in so many words - they were too busy pushing the violence back into Chicago to respond to any non-felony calls?
In short, according to my source in the OPPD, if someone kicked in the door to your home and they didn't display a weapon, they would NOT respond to the call.
Keep in mind Oak Park is the oldest suburb of Chicago, and it is abutting Chicago to the west. If one lives 40 miles out, of course there isn't a problem. In Chicago or immediately around it? You don't know what you are talking about.
