Worth remembering that long before the “voter fraud” lie, there was the Republican argument that the Electoral College is some uniquely enlightened system that the Founders intended to let the loser win, yadda yadda.

Then they realized they couldn’t even win the Electoral College despite the massive advantage it gives Republicans, so Trump realized the Voter Fraud myth had to be created, and now that is the new gospel.

Republicans have only won the popular vote for President *once* in the past 28 years, in 2004. Yet they’ve had three presidencies, and if the Trumpist voter fraud lunatics are to be believed, should have had 4.

Every other democracy in the world gets by on a simple national popular vote — time for us to join the world community of full democracies.

I don't for one moment believe that another 'race' is going to be morally or ethically bound to do better than the combined 'mixed' population of America, if we all pull together to create a solid country where corporations don't rule everything.
